Terms of use
The terms covering your use of this website. Project terms are separate and signed per engagement.
Scope
These terms cover use of the public-facing Willcocks Web website (operated by James Willcocks, freelance web developer). They do not cover engagement of my services — those terms are set out in the written freelance agreement signed at the start of each project.
Intellectual property
All content on this site (copy, design, code) is © James Willcocks unless otherwise marked. Case study content includes references to client work; client names, logos and brand marks remain the property of those respective owners and are reproduced here with permission for portfolio purposes.
You're welcome to link to any page on this site. You're welcome to share short quotes with attribution. You're not welcome to copy the design or copy wholesale; if you'd like to license something, ask.
Accuracy and availability
I try to keep the content here accurate, but I make no warranty that it is fully up-to-date at any given moment — case studies in particular are point-in-time descriptions. The site is provided "as is" and I do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, though it is hosted on Cloudflare's global network and is usually fine.
Liability
I cannot be liable for any loss arising from your use of this website, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). If you are engaging my services, the liability terms in the signed agreement govern that engagement.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
