// the free first draft
A real draft of your site, before there's anything to sign.
The kind of website most businesses need is quick to build, so I can turn a half-hour chat and whatever you've already got (photos, your Facebook page, the old site) into a working draft of your actual homepage and the pages that matter most. Usually within a few days, always free. You react to something real on your own phone, not a flat mockup. Like it and we agree a fixed price. Don't, and you owe nothing; if you want, I'll try one different direction, still free.

A free first chat
Phone or video, half an hour or so. What the business does, what the site needs to do, sites you like the look of. No charge, no commitment.
- 02
You send what you’ve got
Photos, your Facebook page, the old site, a price list. However messy. I build a real, working draft from it, usually within a few days.

A fixed quote, once you’ve seen it
Only then do we agree a price, for a site you already know you like. It's for static sites, which is nearly everyone; a WordPress build starts from a theme shortlist and a quote instead.

// what i do
I build for a 95‑million‑reach publisher and the village shop up the road. Same person, same standards, 8 years of doing it, one phone number.
The technology behind global brands, sized to the business around the corner. My sites are built the way Porsche, IKEA and The Guardian build theirs: quick to load on any phone, next to nothing that can break, and I host and look after it end to end so you never have to think about it. WordPress is there if you want to edit content yourself, and custom builds cover anything off the shelf can't. And I don't vanish once it's live. I'm a phone call away next week or next year.

Five ways to work together.
Most projects fall into one of these. If yours doesn't, the first chat will tell us.
Static sites
Fast, secure, and nothing for you to maintain.
The kind of website most businesses need: your services, prices, photos, opening hours and how to get in touch, loading instantly on any phone. It's what I call a static site. There's no database or admin login for anyone to hack and nothing for you to patch, and I host and look after it. Priced by the project, not the page: from £600, with most coming in around £800.

For clients who want to edit content themselves
WordPress gives you a dashboard where you can log in and change the site yourself. It's the right choice if you'll be editing pages every week, and I build it properly. It costs more than a static build because there's more to build and look after, so it earns its place when self-editing really matters. From £2,000.

Plugins, platforms, the awkward problems
Membership systems, booking platforms, interactive maps, headless CMS builds, GDPR-compliant ad cookie management. Things off-the-shelf can't do.

Google Ad Manager and campaign delivery
For publishers and media sites: the ad infrastructure behind a brand with 95M monthly reach, carrying campaigns for names like Nike, Chanel and Marc Jacobs. Yours can be smaller.

Kept online and looked after, from £25 a month
A website has to live on a computer somewhere, and its address has to be renewed every year. Managed Static at £25 a month covers both, plus me keeping an eye on it, so hosting is one thing off your plate for good. Changes after launch are £55 an hour, billed by the half hour, no retainer. Sites that change every month can bundle in two hours of development at £120 a month. WordPress hosting is £15 unmanaged or £75 fully managed.

// done properly
The parts nobody asks for until they go wrong.
Accessibility, privacy, performance and security are usually the last-minute items on a web project. Here they're the default. Every one of these is running on the page you're reading now.
// accessible
Accessible
Built to WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard-operable, screen-reader friendly, visible focus, motion that respects your settings. Also a ranking factor.
// privacy handled
Privacy handled
Cookieless stats for accurate visitor counts, Google Analytics for the depth, and the consent banner, cookie policy and privacy pages set up properly. This site runs both; yours can too. GDPR handled, not left on your to-do list.
// fast where it counts
Fast where it counts
A slow site loses the customer before it even loads, and it’s worst on rural mobile and saturated holiday-season signal. Pages served ready-made from a datacentre near the visitor keep you fast where your customers actually are.
// locked down
Locked down
Security headers and a strict content policy as standard, and on a static build there’s no admin login or database to attack in the first place.
