A website has to live on a computer somewhere, and its address has to be renewed every year. That's what hosting is, and why it costs something each month. Managed Static at £25/month covers both, plus me keeping an eye on it, and it's the option I recommend most often: your site stays online, fast and secure, and there's nothing for you to maintain. It also includes up to an hour of my time every month, so when a price changes or a photo needs swapping, it's already paid for. WordPress hosting comes as bring-your-own-updates at £15 or fully looked-after at £75. And if you'd rather pay yearly: twelve months for the price of eleven.

Why Cloudflare for static sites.

Cloudflare runs one of the largest networks on the internet: 300+ cities, with protection against attacks built into every request. For a static site, that's overkill in the best possible way. Visitors anywhere in the world get the page from their nearest datacentre, and there's effectively nothing for an attacker to attack.

Files are served from the closest of 300+ datacentres. No database to query, no code to run, no server warming up: the page is ready and waiting.
security
There's no software running behind the site, so there's nothing to break into. The https padlock is built in, attack protection is automatic and bot filtering is included. No admin login to guess and no plugins with known holes.
privacy
Visitor stats come two ways, because they answer different questions: cookieless counting for accurate numbers, and Google Analytics (behind a consent banner) for the depth on who your audience is. UK visitors get UK datacentres, and logs stay short-lived and anonymised.
cost
A static site needs very little computing power to serve, which is why it's cheap to run. £25/month covers the domain, its settings, email forwarding, visitor stats, the hosting itself and up to an hour of changes a month, fully managed.

An hour of changes, every month.

Every Managed Static site comes with up to an hour of my time each month. That covers the changes businesses actually make: new prices, different opening hours, a photo swapped, a paragraph reworded, a notice for the bank holiday. Most of them take minutes, so an hour goes a long way. Email them over whenever they come up and they're done, usually the same day.

New pages, redesigns and new features aren't part of the hour; I'll quote those before starting. If a busy month would run past the hour, I'll tell you before going over, and anything extra is £55 an hour in 30-minute increments. Unused time doesn't carry over. If your site needs regular work well beyond that, tell me and I'll quote it as a monthly scope.

UK servers

WordPress hosting is on SiteGround's UK infrastructure. Static-site hosting is on Cloudflare's worldwide network: UK visitors get a UK datacentre, and visitors elsewhere get the closest one to them.

No retainer

Every tier is month-to-month. Cancel any time. Stop paying and the site comes down, but it's yours to take elsewhere, and I'll help with the move either way. Prefer to pay yearly? Twelve months for the price of eleven on every tier, and if you leave mid-year, unused whole months are refunded at the standard monthly rate.

Migration included

Bringing an existing site over from another host? Domain settings, the https certificate, email and any plugin reconfiguration are handled as part of signup, with no downtime if I can help it.

Ad-hoc support

Quoted before I start, at £55/hour in 30-minute increments. For WordPress changes, and for anything on a static site beyond the month's included hour: new pages, redesigns, one-off fixes.
