Multiple subcontract projects for a London comms agency

Multiple engagements — Political Podcast Awards, Data Centres APPG builds, and DDoS/CDN consultancy for Spirits UK.

// summary

An ongoing subcontract relationship with a London communications agency, delivering multiple projects including the Political Podcast Awards (with voting system), the Data Centres APPG (parliamentary group site), and DDoS/CDN consultancy for Spirits UK.

About the client

iNHouse Communications is a London-based agency that subcontracts web development work. I have delivered multiple projects for iNHouse.

Political Podcast Awards. Annual awards site with entry forms (Gravity Forms), People’s Choice voting system with email verification to prevent duplicate votes (live during each awards window), year-on-year content updates, and logo / branding refreshes.

Data Centres APPG. A clean, professional website for a parliamentary group, built from agency designs with Elementor. Included Gravity Forms, GDPR-compliant cookies, Microsoft 365 email setup, and a full domain change with SEO, DNS and email migration.

Spirits UK (the UK Spirits Alliance). Consultancy rather than a build — brought in to investigate DDoS concerns and implement a CDN, plus domain and Outlook email configuration during the transfer. I didn’t create the site and don’t manage it day-to-day.

How the partnership works

These projects come with an in-house designer who is fully capable of keeping content updated and improving pages — which makes for an efficient split. I build the site from scratch, the designer takes over day-to-day content and management, and when something is too complex or time-consuming they reach out — no retainer formality. I typically resolve issues within 48 hours; urgent ones same day. It’s also a genuine case for WordPress: when a capable person is in the CMS every week, the CMS earns its keep.

Why it matters

Being a reliable subcontract partner for an agency is its own discipline — you’re delivering against someone else’s design and timeline, often with a parliamentary or political brand on the line. Every fix has to land first time.
