Six things,
delivered by one person.

Most projects fall into one of these. A static site is the right answer for almost everyone — I offer it in three sizes; WordPress is the pricier exception for clients who specifically want to edit content themselves; and the rest covers custom builds, advertising, hosting and reporting. Same developer either way, same standards.

// 01 · websites

Four tiers, static-led.

Static sites are faster, more secure and cheaper to run, so they lead the range — Essential for most businesses, Professional for larger builds, Bespoke for full platforms. It's the same stack — Astro on Cloudflare — behind Porsche, IKEA and OpenAI (Cloudflare bought Astro in 2026); I build on it at the scale of your business. WordPress sits alongside, priced higher, for the clients who specifically want to manage their own content. Cheaper doesn't mean lesser here: static is the better build and the better value.

// 01

Static — Essential

// Astro · Cloudflare

from £800

A fast, secure site for a business that wants a great-looking website done properly.

Where most small businesses land. A handful of pages, designed around you and built on the static stack — no database, no plugins, no admin login, no monthly security patches. The site is a folder of files served from Cloudflare's global edge, so what an attacker would normally target physically isn't there. Sub-second loads anywhere in the world, hosting from £25/month. Trade-off: there's no CMS, so content edits come through me.

  • Bespoke design — no off-the-shelf template
  • Hosted on Cloudflare's global edge — sub-second worldwide
  • Priced by the project — as many pages as the job needs
  • No patches, no plugin updates, nothing to break
  • Lighthouse 90+ on launch, by design
  • Content updates handled by me afterwards

Static — Professional

// Astro · Cloudflare

from £2,500

A larger static build with bespoke design, integrations, and the data to prove it works.

For growing businesses that need more than a brochure. Everything in Essential, plus a fully bespoke design, more pages and sections, the integrations most businesses actually ask for — online booking, advanced forms, payments — and richer interactivity. Reporting and analytics are set up from day one so you can see what the site is doing. Same speed and security as Essential; more site.

  • Fully bespoke design and layout
  • Booking, advanced forms and payment integrations
  • Reporting & analytics configured from launch
  • Richer animation and interactivity
  • As many pages and sections as the brief needs
  • Still no database or plugins to maintain

// 03

Bespoke

// Astro · Payload · custom

from £7,500

A fully custom platform with no limits on design, functionality, or stack.

Membership platforms, booking systems, interactive tools, custom content management, complex advertising setups. Built on Astro and Payload where a proper CMS is needed — or WordPress and custom code where the problem genuinely calls for it. Design can be developed collaboratively, supplied by an agency, or built from scratch. If you can describe what you need, it can be built.

  • Custom platforms, plugins or headless CMS builds
  • Membership systems with recurring payments
  • Booking systems with payment processing
  • Interactive tools, maps, quizzes
  • Whatever shape the brief actually is

WordPress

// WordPress

from £2,000

Only if you want to edit content in WordPress yourself — priced above the equivalent static build.

WordPress does one thing a static site can't: let a non-technical person edit the whole site daily from an admin dashboard. When that is genuinely non-negotiable, I build it properly — clean, responsive, and about as fast as WordPress gets. But it's older technology with more moving parts to maintain and more that can go wrong, so it costs more than the equivalent static build, and I only steer people here when self-editing really matters.

  • Full self-editing via the WordPress dashboard
  • Mobile-responsive design, SEO and analytics set up
  • Enquiry forms with spam protection
  • Editorial training so you can run it yourself
  • Fully managed hosting available at £75/month

// 02 · custom development

Where websites go from good to exceptional.

Bespoke WordPress plugin and theme development for the problems off-the-shelf solutions cannot solve. Purpose-built tools that do exactly what you need, with admin interfaces non-technical staff can run.

A real example: a custom constituency-search impact map for the Alliance for International Students that lets the team update the underlying data themselves, with no developer involvement.

More on custom development →
  • Membership and account systems with automated emails, document access, recurring payments
  • Interactive maps showing regional data, searchable by constituency
  • Interactive quizzes with animations, transitions, and a non-technical backend
  • Booking systems with confirmation codes and Stripe payment processing
  • Digital club cards integrated with Google Wallet and Apple Wallet
  • Custom content management, business directories and listing systems
  • Automated form systems with payment handling and account creation
  • Custom permalink structures and URL management for complex content sites

// 03 · advertising operations

Ad infrastructure for publishers who need it to work.

I built the ad infrastructure behind Culted (a Gen-Z fashion brand with a 95-million monthly reach) and the Chiswick Calendar (daily community news) — Google Ad Manager set up and implemented, GDPR-compliant consent, the reporting behind the revenue. The teams run their campaigns day to day; I make sure the stack underneath works, and step in when something needs solving.

"If you sell ads directly to brands, the ad-stack is the business."

More on advertising operations →
  • Google Ad Manager — full setup, ad units, campaign implementation
  • Campaign delivery for major brands — Nike, New Balance, Chanel, Celine, G-Shock and Marc Jacobs, all run via Culted
  • Advanced Ads plugin configuration and ad placement management
  • TikTok pixel implementation and social-media advertising integration
  • Video ad setup and management
  • Complex GDPR-compliant cookie consent across multiple ad platforms
  • Advertising performance reporting and analytics
  • Sponsorship slot creation and direct-sale management

// 04 · hosting

Four tiers. Start at £25.

Managed Cloudflare for static sites at £25/month is the option I recommend most often — there's nothing to maintain. Sites that change every month can bundle development time in at £120. The other two are for WordPress: bring-your-own-updates at £15, or fully looked-after at £75.

// unmanaged WordPress

£15 /mo

SiteGround on UK servers — for clients who handle their own WordPress updates

  • SSL certificate, daily backups
  • CDN and caching included
  • Email support
  • You manage WordPress core, theme and plugin updates
most popular

// managed Cloudflare

£25 /mo

For static sites — global edge, fully managed, so the upkeep is mine, not yours

  • Global edge — sub-second loads worldwide
  • SSL, DDoS protection, bot mitigation built in
  • No database, no plugins, no patches needed
  • Domain renewal, DNS, email and analytics included — one bill

// Cloudflare Plus

£120 /mo

Managed Cloudflare with two hours of development time included every month

  • Everything in managed Cloudflare
  • Two hours of development each month — edits, new sections, tweaks
  • One predictable invoice instead of hourly billing
  • For sites that change every month, not once a quarter

// managed WordPress

£75 /mo

Hands-off — the WordPress site stays updated, secure and performing

  • Everything in unmanaged WordPress
  • Monthly core, theme and plugin updates
  • Compatibility checks and uptime monitoring
  • Monthly security scans and priority support

// 05 · on-demand

On-demand development. £55 an hour. No retainer.

Quick content change, a new feature, a bug fix, a small redesign — get in touch, get an estimate, the work gets done. Billed in 30-minute increments. You only pay for what you use.

Most content edits take around 30 minutes. A whole new section, about an hour. So a typical text-and-image update is £27.50 — not a day rate.

"Most of my long-term client relationships started with a single hour of work — one problem, solved properly. They came back because it was."

// 06 · reporting & analytics

Know where you stand — and why.

Custom website reports that don't just show the numbers but explain what changed, why, and what to do about it — pulling analytics, advertising, search and sales data into one place. Automated monthly or quarterly, or as a one-off audit. It even works without Google Analytics, from cookieless data.

More on reporting & analytics →
  • Monthly or quarterly reports that read the numbers, not just list them
  • Per-campaign advertising and revenue reporting for publishers
  • One-off audits — SEO, page speed, accessibility, analytics
  • AI-visibility reviews — how AI assistants read and use your site
  • Ecommerce, membership and funder / board reporting
  • Cookieless reporting with no Google Analytics and no cookie banner
