Phone or video, half an hour or so. What the business does, who you want to reach, sites you like the look of, what the website has to do. No charge, no commitment.
You send what you've got
Photos, your Facebook page, the old website if there is one, a price list, a leaflet. However messy. The draft is built from that, so the more there is, the closer it lands.
A real draft, within days
A working version of your homepage and the one or two pages that matter most, on a private link you can open on your own phone and send to whoever you like. Not a mockup, not a slide deck.

Drafts I built for local businesses from nothing but their public material: their Facebook photos, their reviews, an old site. Yours would be built the same way, with the added advantage that we'd have talked first. The full story of how these get made.

The questions people ask before they ask.
- What do you need from me?
- Half an hour on the phone or a video call, and whatever you already have: photos, your Facebook page, the old site, a price list. You don't need to write anything. If you've got nothing but a phone full of photos of your work, that's a start.
- What's the catch?
- There isn't one, and you'll notice the page hasn't asked for a card number. A static site is quick enough to build that a first draft costs me a day or so, and most people who see a real version of their own site want it finished. That's the whole bet. If you don't, we part as friends.
- How long does the draft take?
- Usually a few days after you've sent your material. The fastest one so far was built the day after the call. Bigger sites take a little longer, and the finished site is typically live within one to two weeks of you saying yes, depending mostly on how fast content and feedback come back.
- What happens if I say no?
- Nothing. You owe nothing and there's no follow-up sales call. If it's close but not right, I'll try one different direction at no cost. If it's simply not for you, the preview comes down and that's that.
- Does everyone get a free draft?
- It's for static sites, which is the right kind of site for nearly every small business (fast, secure, nothing for you to maintain). If you specifically want to edit every page yourself in WordPress, that's a different build, and it starts from a theme shortlist and a written quote instead.
- What does the finished site cost?
- From £600 for a focused site, with most small-business sites coming in around £800 and a fuller build around £1,200, then £25 a month to keep it online, looked after and its address renewed. If paying up front is the obstacle, spread it: 25% down and the rest over twelve months with hosting included, no interest. Every price is on the pricing page.
